The East Link (Ostlänken) is a major high speed rail development in Sweden. The project involves the delivery of a new double track railway corridor between Järna, south of Stockholm, and Linköping, designed to significantly increase capacity, reduce journey times and support sustainable regional growth.
The Skavasta Section includes the construction of approximately 35 to 36 kilometres of new high speed railway, incorporating extensive earthworks, bridges and major civil structures.
Expected completion date 2035.
