STRATA IS A CERTIFIED B CORPORATION
Strengthening our commitment to improving social and environmental impact across construction and engineering.
Why we chose the B Corp journey
We chose B Corp because it aligns with how we work. Rigour, accountability and problem solving are core to good engineering and planning, and the B Corp framework applies these principles to responsible business.
The framework challenges businesses to make consistent progress in how they work, how they treat people, and the impact they have on the world around them. It is a benchmark that ensures our sustainability strategy remains accountable and continually evolving.
Part of something bigger
Being part of the global B Corp movement connects us with a forward-thinking community of organisations who share knowledge, raise standards and support change across sectors. It also reflects who we are as a team. Our team want to do work that matters, and this certification recognises the care and integrity they bring to their roles.
How we became a B Corp
Becoming a B Corp was a 16-month journey that required us to look closely at every part of our business, from how we plan and deliver projects to how we govern ourselves, support our people and contribute to the communities around us. The rigorous evaluation covered five key areas: governance, workers, community, environment and customers.
Building an inclusive team
Building an inclusive team is a deliberate part of Strata’s identity. In an industry where women hold less than 10% of technical roles, we are proud that 20% of our team and 38% of our leadership positions are held by women. This progress has been achieved through targeted recruitment, structured mentorship, and development pathways that enable women to transition into technical and managerial roles. We also recognise diversity has many forms beyond gender, and we want to help shape a more representative future for construction and engineering, because diverse perspectives lead to better engineering and a more resilient sector

Creating community impact
We apply the same rigorous digital skills we use on major infrastructure programmes to deliver measurable social value. Our 4D visualisation for Sporting Liberties translated complex design intent into accessible community engagement, directly enabling project funding. Our partnership with University College Dublin delivers industry led training on striction scheduling to engineering students. Fo us, community impact isn’t peripheral to our work, it’s an extension of our core capabilities.
Environmental commitment in action
We implemented an Environmental Management System and achieved ISO 14001 certification, embedding environmental considerations and tracking into our operations.
Through our work, we integrate sustainability requirements in programmes, risk registers, 4D animations and more, enabling our clients to demonstrate reduced carbon footprints, optimised resources, and better project outcomes.
What this means for our clients
Our B Corp certification isn’t just about us, it’s about delivering better outcomes for the projects we work on and the clients we serve.
Integrated sustainability from day one
Sustainability is embedded in how we plan, model and deliver every project. Our digital-first approach integrates sustainability considerations from the earliest stages, while continuous improvement and analytical rigour help ensure sustainability requirements remain aligned with project objectives.
Future-proofing
Our B Corp certification reflects our commitment to responsible development and better business practices. When you work with Strata, you’re partnering with a company whose values and practices are independently verified, giving confidence that projects will be delivered responsibly, with accountability and a strong focus on improving social and environmental performance across our industry and within our own operations.
