- What is your current role and what do you enjoy about it?I am a planning Engineer, currently managing planning for a large data center constructon project in the Nordics. My role is centered around managing and organising the complex logistics of building the data center, from timelines and budgets to resource allocation and project coordination. I deal with multiple stakeholders, includung designers, contractors, and engineers, ensuring alignment with the project milestones.
- How has your experience/career grown since joining the company? Since joining Strata, my technical scheduling skills have been strengthened from having the opportunity to work on cross-sectoral projects including infrastructure, pharmaceutical, residential, and most recently data centers. I’ve taken responsibility for managing construction phases, coordinating with contractors, and leading subcontractor planners, all of which has deepened my understanding of how to keep complex programmes on track. My current project on a Nordic data center has been a valuable learning opportunity, giving me insight into how the construction industry operates in a different country and further develop my communication skills, which are really important when you are part of a diverse, international project team.
- What opportunities have you had for growth, training, or new experiences? Strata’s involvement in complex and high-quality projects has given me the opportunity to work on some really exciting projects, and to set me up for success, I have had to train on a number of new softwares, including Primavera P6, Asta, Power BI and Bluebeam. Beyond formal training, a lareg part of my development has come from on the job learning, working closely with experienced planners and engineers. Being able to observe and learn directly from their approaches to problem-solving, stakeholder management, and project delivery has been invaluable.
- How would you describe the team culture? Overall, the team culture at Strata is one that balances high performance with genuine collaboration, professional ambition with continuous support. It’s a place where engineers come together to solve complex problems and deliver projects while also looking out for each other’s well being and growth.
- What advice would you give someone thinking about joining Strata? If you’re someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, enjoys problem-solving, and is open to continuous learning, Strata is an excellent place to grow and develop your career. It’s a place where you cet to work on some of the most complex and challenging construction projects, whilst also being supported in your professional development and you are given every chance to reach your full potential.
