The successful implementation of any construction programme or schedule is very much dependant on how it is communicated and understood by the wider project team and all relevant stakeholders, including the Client. At Strata, we believe that the key to successful communication is a combination of the traditional Ghantt Chart, which establishes the technical sequence, durations and logic, coupled with a set of visual representations. These visuals can be in 2D storyboard format, 3D model format or 4D animations.

Traffic Management & Site Logistics

School Animation

We have the capability to develop 3D models in house, or adapt existing models to mirror the proposed construction phasing plan and associated logistical requirements. Using specialist 4D software, we link the 3D model to the construction schedule to develop a movie animation.  These support our clients to improve communication and collaboration, and optimize project timelines by simulating construction processes.

We believe this combination of 2D storyboards, 3D and 4D Modelling is invaluable in providing clients with a clear understanding of a complex project.
We can also represent items such as temporary works, scaffolding,  cranes, site cabins and logistical layouts  in the model. This can be used for tender bid submissions and during construction stage to visually present the project process, demonstrate as build versus as planned scenarios and also for testing of potential project changes. It facilitates the ability to test “what if” scenarios such as sequencing options, site logistics, temporary works alternatives and costs.

We utilise a broad selection of softwares including Revit, Google Sketch Up, Synchro 4D and the full Autodesk modelling suite.
