Head of People

We’re looking for a Head of People to join our team. You’ll lead the development of Strata’s people strategy, shaping how we attract, grow, and retain exceptional talent to support our engineering excellence and international growth. As a trusted partner to the leadership team, you’ll drive initiatives that strengthen capability, culture, and performance, building an environment where people thrive, leaders inspire, and innovation flourishes.

Key Responsibilities
• Coach and mentor leaders across the business, helping them navigate challenges, develop their leadership styles, and strengthen team performance.
• Oversee and enhance Strata’s performance management framework, promoting regular feedback, clear goal-setting, and continuous improvement.
• Champion a positive, high-trust culture that empowers leaders and fosters collaboration, engagement, and open communication.
• Design and deliver leadership development and training programmes covering areas such as team dynamics, conflict resolution, and change management.
• Partner with the executive team to support growth initiatives, ensuring leaders are equipped to manage expansion effectively.
• Lead Strata’s talent strategy , attracting, developing, and retaining top-tier engineering and project planning professionals.
• Act as a strategic HR business partner to senior leaders, providing expert guidance on people, culture, and organisational effectiveness.

Qualifications
• Degree in Psychology, HR, Legal, or Business; CIPD qualification is an advantage.
• Experience in establishing and leading a People function, ideally in a leadership capacity.
• Proven ability to be hands-on while maintaining a strategic perspective.
• Strong working knowledge across multiple HR disciplines, including talent management, performance management, employee engagement, talent acquisition, training, compensation and benefits, and coaching.
• Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with a proven track record of building and maintaining strong relationships at all levels.
• Background in engineering services or a related technical sector is an advantage.
• International experience, particularly within high-growth environments, is desirable.
