We are looking to recruit a Senior Planning Engineer (Scheduler), with a minimum of 7-10 years’ experience in the Pharma/Life Sciences, Data Centre and Infrastructure sectors, to join our dynamic growing team. The successful candidate will work with our team of engineers and construction professionals, on the efficient planning of construction projects. This position will suit a candidate who is looking for variety, who is keen to be part of the digital transformation of the construction industry and who is looking for an opportunity to further their career with a growing organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the develop tender bid and preconstruction programmes, which fulfil the client’s criteria, and are delivered on time.
• Lead in the development of the baseline contract programme, covering all aspects of design, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover.
• Responsible for creating, maintaining and coordinating construction schedules and plans on a variety of international cross sector, projects to ensure programmes are delivered on time, on budget and that change is captured and controlled.
• Manage project liability risk due to additional works and variation requests and manage and update programmes to develop claims for delays and prolongation
• Progress monitor, assess and status report to project stakeholders
• Partner with Strata’s visualization team to develop a 4D graphical model and other visualization tools, where required

Requirements for this position:

• Minimum Qualification: Degree in Engineering / Construction Management.
• 7-10 years relevant experience in the construction Industry, preferably main contractor experience.
• Experience in Data centers/Life Sciences/Pharma
• Strong IT skills and Proficient in the use of P6 programming software
• Capable of building project schedules from first principles
• Experience in Data Analytics would be advantageous
• Strong communication and relationship skills
• Process-driven with excellent attention to detail.
• Likes autonomy, is pro-active and results driven.
• This position will require up to 50% travel.
